Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is basic. We are dog trainers who understand the psychological needs of dogs. We know dogs get overstimulated quickly by lights, sounds, and smells. Displacement behaviors tend to increase for the dog in an attempt to manage stress and anxious energies. Research tells us pets can also show signs of stress when their owners are away but it tends to be less severe when they are in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. We firmly believe during the time you are away, Your pet will benefit much more from not having to leave the house and be placed at all sorts of risks. The psychological taxing for some dogs can be too overwhelming creating fears and apprehensions. Excitable dogs are at higher risk to spill into aggression with other unknown dogs during boarding and there are simply not enough resources or contingencies in place at daycares to fully protect your animals.

We practice and believe in calm assertive and loving interaction to care and provide what the animals need physically and psychologically. After 36 years of dog training in homes, We know how to approach, engage, redirect, provide, and love animals.

INSURED AND BONDED

We set the bar high regarding care of those animals entrusted to us. We are insured and bonded. All of our sitters/trainers undergo a background check and must pass the muster in terms of reliability, honesty, competency, and of course a true love for animals. Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your pet is in competent, loving hands.

Reducing burglary risk

Having sitters also has the advantage of protecting the pet owner’s home. Newspaper and mail collection by the pet sitters eliminate “away from home” signals to possible “bad guys.” Having pet sitters creates near normal household activity that also discourages potential robberies.
